Origin of Fancy Flapper

Native Nashvillian owners Karen and Lindsay's paths have been crossing for a long time.  Unbeknownst to them, the first time they met was in high school at a local competition.  15 years later they were paired together at the Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts where a friendship developed.

Over time they discovered that not only had they been crossing paths but it went all they way back to their grandparents in the country music and business scenes of Nashville.

Deep roots y'all.

And that is our mission with Fancy Flapper.  Celebrating and honoring our family roots and contributions to Nashville.

Lindsay's family owned the clothing store, Rich-Schwartz & Joseph. It brought the first ever ready-to-wear clothes (a revolutionary concept of it's time) to Nashville in 1902.  The wrapping we use are the print ads of Rich-Schwartz from the 1920's.

100+ years later, Fancy Flapper is paying homage to that revolutionary spirit and bringing something new and unique to the dessert scene of Middle Tennessee.
